The location of the cottage was amazing, with fine views of the nearby Abbey and the sea. We even had the pleasure of seeing bats in the garden! It was just a short walk to the Abbey and the Whitby Brewery, and we had immediate access to the Cleveland Way. The house itself was clean and cozy, with the owners leaving fresh flowers and milk for us upon arrival. The large patio doors had been replaced, great to open them and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, and we appreciated the added amenities like wifi and a smart TV. Having a parking spot right opposite the door was also convenient.

Good sized cottage, high ceilings, warm. Comfortable firm beds. Flowers and hot drink provided. Microbrewery and Abbey nearby. Quiet location. Amazing views of Abbey and sea. Bats in garden. Close to Cleveland Way and 199 steps. Great garden for kids and dog. Immaculate with everything you need.

Value for money was excellent, with clean and nicely appointed accommodation and amazing sea views from the living room. Great location, just a short walk from the town center and close to the Abbey. The staff were friendly and helpful, even allowing us a late check-out.

Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety.

The location of the cottage is stunning, with breathtaking views and close proximity to the local Abbey. the cottage itself offers comfortable and clean bedrooms and a well-maintained bathroom. guests can enjoy the convenience of an onsite microbrewery, serving a fantastic selection of drinks and snacks.

One drawback is that the large patio doors in the living room are not functional, limiting the ability to enjoy the beautiful view from inside the cottage.

The location of the cottage is truly phenomenal, with stunning views of the beach and easy access to both the town and the Abbey. the house itself is clean and welcoming, with little touches like flowers and milk provided on arrival. the new patio doors allow for fresh air and a beautiful connection to the garden. the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. Having a parking spot is a great convenience.

The latch on the front gate and garden gate could use some improvement, as using string to secure them doesn't close the garden gate tight enough for dogs.

Great location close to attractions and town, clean house with thoughtful touches like flowers and milk, comfortable beds, fully-equipped kitchen.

Gates need better latches for dog security, could benefit from extra heating during colder nights.

Stayed at a fabulous location right beside a famous historical site. Added bonus of a nearby brewery with a great selection of drinks and snacks. Very dog-friendly and had all the facilities we expected, including comfy beds and soft towels. The house was warm and welcoming, with a lovely touch of fresh flowers and milk for a cuppa. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, as well as WiFi and a smart TV. Parking space for one car was a plus, and the views of the sea from the living room were truly breathtaking.

    Nothing, it was perfect! 👌
